
The Universal History of Biological Sciences course, intended for first-year undergraduate students in Natural and Life Sciences, aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the history of biological sciences and the concept of life across different eras and civilizations.
It is essential to highlight the role of technical advancements in the development of experimental and natural sciences, from Prehistory and Antiquity to the Middle Ages, and through the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
This course will cover fundamental concepts, including the notion of science, as well as the history of science in antiquity and the influence of religion from the Middle Ages to the Enlightenment.
Special emphasis is placed on the various branches of Biological Sciences.
