The objective of this course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the history of biological sciences and the concept of life across different ages and civilizations.

It is essential to emphasize the role of technological advancements in the evolution of biology, from prehistory to the present day. This teaching will focus on fundamental concepts, including the notion of science, as well as the history of science in antiquity, and the influence of religion from the Middle Ages to the Enlightenment.

This course has four main objectives:
