The course (For Whom the Bell Tolls) is adressed to the first year master students of Economics, Management and Commercial sciences. The focus of the text is to discuss the interests of economics considered both as an art and a science. According to the author, the economic analysis revolves around debatable issues like: poverty, development, affluences, approaches of staisfying desires and mechanisms of managing scarcity.
The students are required to:
1. Read carefully the text and use the dictionary to understand the hard concepts.
2. Answer the following questions:
- What are the basic interests of Economics?
- How do the economic techniques and approaches arrive at satisfying human being desires?
